Everything was nice, unbeatable location short walk to Sri Lanka-delicious and incredibly generous, the surrounding area, and Unawatuna, very pleasant experience. The staff was super-friendly and excellent and the food was amazing! The king room didn't seem appealing on photos but it was well decorated with a beautiful garden patio. The breakfast had a lot of options, pancakes and eggs. I enjoyed staying here.

The room was impeccable and impressive, offering a lovely view of the garden. It featured a very comfy bed along with a spacious bathroom equipped with a shower and bath sheets. the location was marvelous and peaceful, with the beach conveniently close to the hotel.

The hotel is near Delawella beach, restaurants, beaches, and souvenir stalls. the location is incredibly convenient. I have stayed here multiple times and would book again.

Warm hospitality and delicious meals in a cozy setting
The delicious Sri Lankan meals prepared by them were a true highlight of my visit. the cozy setting with a nice garden outside the room added to the overall charm of the accommodation. One improvement could be addressing the heat and mosquito issue to ensure a more comfortable stay.

Lovely family, easy communication. Awesome breakfast, tea/coffee breaks. Super clean, comfy bed, new bathroom. Experienced devils dance nearby. Tuk tuk rides available.

The rooms at Shady Edge are so cozy and inviting. I loved waking up to the sunlight streaming through the balcony, with a lovely view of the garden. The private bathroom with a shower was convenient too. I felt completely at home here.
Personally, I found the presence of a safety deposit box in the room unnecessary.
